I composed this piece in 2015 or thereabouts from recordings of hand-made zither improvisations. I planned the work carefully then stretched and compressed loops with different timbral qualities. These were then set along a timeline. The piece gives the impression of several moving lines gently speeding up and slowing down, falling behind and catching up with each other.

Perhaps it's got more to do with relativity than the parallax phenomenon, like the experience I'm sure we've all had on a train in the station looking at another train alongside. When one moves off there's a few seconds when you're never sure if it's you or the other train that's moving.

Anyway, I'm struggling to find the score which I'd like to publish for others to performance.
